‘Love Island USA’ Dumps Alannah Keyser After Resurfaced Racist Posts

Alannah Keyser has been cut from Love Island USA after a video of her using a racial slur resurfaced on social media.

The Islander came in as a bombshell during the Casa Amor twist in the Peacock dating series.

However, shortly after entering the villa, a video of her lip-syncing to a song surfaced online where she is seen using the n-word. In addition, a screenshot of her using a racist slur on social media was widely shared.

Peacock was not aware of Alannah’s social media posts prior to casting her as they had not been shared publicly until after her appearance on the show. The streamer vets each contestant, but sources say these posts would not be accessible during that vetting process.

Alannah’s presence on Season 8 of Love Island USA was heavily diminished following her first appearance. She was mostly edited out of the previous episode, which streamed on Tuesday, June 23.

The bombshell had built a connection with Zach Georgiou in Casa Amor, with many fans predicting he would bring her back to the main villa.

Alannah still appeared on Thursday night’s episode as her connection with Zach grew stronger, but this would be her last appearance.

Following an ad break, Love Island USA narrator Iain Stirling announced, “Alannah has left Casa Amor.”

Her romance with Zach had repercussions in the main villa as Kayda received a postcard from Casa Amor showing Alannah and Zach getting cozy. The episode scheduled for Friday, June 26 would have a recoupling to find out what happens with the Islanders.

Alannah is not the first Love Island USA Season 8 contestant cut from the show for problematic social media posts. After Peacock announced the cast for the new season, Vasana Montgomery was axed from the show after resurfaced videos where she used a racial slur. Vasana never made it on air as production moved forward with a smaller cast. That move affected fellow Islander Gabriel Vasconcelos, as he was initially presented as one of the core Islanders but later came up as a bombshell in the dating series.

Love Island USA has had similar problems before. Last year, Islander Yulissa Escobar was removed from the villa days after Season 7 premiered, after appearances on a podcast revealed her using racial slurs. Weeks later, Cierra Miller was also cut from the show following resurfaced racist social media posts.
