Lamar Odom is opening up about his past with his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner.
During his new Fox TV special Sex, Drugs and the Kardashians, the former NBA star, 43, revealed a major bombshell regarding his relationship with his ex-wife’s mom, who used to manage him during his days as a basketball player.
“I used to call her ‘Ma.’ She showed a lot of love. She was cool. I loved her. We all got into business. It was a family business. I’m comfortable enough [for her to manage my money]. I’m happy enough to do it…I made some money. I came out on the positive,” he said, praising her for her management skills.
He continued: “I don’t think people really give them credit for their family dynamic. Family is going to go through shit and I think that they’ve handled their shit phenomenally good.”
Although he had nothing but nice things to say about Jenner and the family’s work ethic and dynamic, he did claim that Jenner set him up to be caught by paparazzi just after the former couple signed their divorce papers in Aug. 2015, which led to some hurt feelings.
TMZ reported the incident back when it happened, claiming that Odom touched Kardashian’s arm to which she screamed at him, “Get off of me, get off of me. Stop. Stop.” An eyewitness asked the reality star if she wanted the cops to be called, but Odom screamed, “You’re not going to call the cops on Lamar Odom.” Kardashian later asked Odom how he knew she was there, but he didn’t give a clear answer.
