Govt’s social media guidelines invited extreme reactions from tech giants. WhatsApp went to court regarding some of the provisions, Twitter on the other hand attacked the govt saying it attacks user privacy. None of these tech biggies complied with the guidelines that were issued in February this year. The only platform that complied with guidelines was Koo- Twitter’s alternative app. We caught up with the CEO and Co-founder of the app, Apremeya Radhakrishna to find out what the implementation of these guidelines means for brands and consumers.
