Kirby Corp. on Monday said it named Raj Kumar executive vice president and chief financial officer, plucking the executive from Dril-Quip Inc.
Kirby, a Houston tank barge operator, said Mr. Kumar will join next month to succeed Bill Harvey, who in July announced plans to retire.
Kirby said Mr. Harvey remains as executive vice president until early next year to assist with the transition.
Mr. Kumar, 48 years old, currently serves as vice president and chief financial officer at oilfield equipment maker Dril-Quip, which announced his planned departure on Friday.
