New York City style! Kim Kardashian arrived in the Big Apple earlier this week and — to no one’s surprise — has been serving up serious style inspo ever since. From her futuristic Balenciaga sunglasses that covered half of her face to her thigh-high denim boots, the 41-year-old Skims founder didn’t hold back when it came to fashion.
The beauty boss planned her big trip for the WSJ Magazine 2021 Innovator Awards, which were held on Monday, November 1. And it’s safe to say she kicked off her couture clothing streak with a bang.
For the event, chose to wear a design from her most recent Skims collaboration with Fendi. And while she looked all kinds of fabulous in her $4,200 brown leather dress, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Upon standing up to receive her award, the KKW Beauty founder suffered a bit of a wardrobe malfunction.
The zipper on the back of her dress rode up, exposing her ~ other ~ Skims. Thankfully, Fendi’s creative director, Kim Jones, was by her side to save her from the “fashion emergency.” “Thank god I had Skims on or this would have been a very different kind of show tonight,” she said upon receiving her award.
Following the ceremony, Kardashian kicked her clothing choices into overdrive, making the streets of NYC her personal runway — all while sparking some romance rumors with Pete Davidson.
The reality star got dressed in head-to-toe Balenciaga before popping over to Staten Island to have dinner at Campania’s with the comedian on Tuesday, November 2.
For the occasion, the mom of four rocked an oversized pair of Balenciaga shades that drew comparisons to Batmans. In the beauty department, she went with super sleek shiny hair, also knows as glass hair. According to her hairstylist, Chris Appleton, the look is going to be her “new classic look,” so you can expect to see a lot more of the style.
Fast forward to the following evening and Kardashian had dinner with Davidson and some friends at Zero Bond. The beauty boss opted for a skin-tight velvet dress, which she paired with black heeled booties, square-framed sunglasses and statement earrings. When it came to glam, Kardashian went with a butt-length braid.
