This year’s BET Awards are poised to be a full-circle moment for the legendary actor and comedian, who previously served as the show’s emcee in 2011. “I love a celebration! It’s a chance to reflect, cherish, and honor life’s unforgettable moments,” Hart, 45, shared in a press release. “I’m truly honored to host the 25th BET Awards and celebrate the culture’s biggest night.”
A Full Circle Moment
For Kevin Hart, his return to the BET Awards marks yet another milestone in what’s already been a bustling 2025. This follows a standout year for the Philadelphia comedian, who continues to cement his place in the entertainment world. Last year, actress Taraji P. Henson graced the stage as emcee for the third time. Now, Hart’s return underscores a deep-rooted connection with BET—one that spans over a decade.
From hosting Comic View: One Night Stand in 2008 to starring in and producing Real Husbands of Hollywood in 2013, Hart’s journey with the network has been both extensive and impactful. Most recently, he further solidified his ties to BET with the debut of the animated series Lil Kev on BET+ through his Hartbeat company, continuing to shape the network’s influence in new and exciting ways.

What to Expect
As always, the 2025 BET Awards are set to be a grand affair, brimming with star-studded performances, powerful tributes, and unforgettable moments that celebrate the richness of Black culture over the past quarter-century. Leading up to the main event, the BET Experience (BETX) will return to Los Angeles from June 5–8, offering fans a dynamic lineup of immersive activities, including competitions, comedy shows, and parties.
