CLEVELAND, Ohio – After stunning the Cleveland political establishment in the primary, nonprofit executive Justin Bibb will be the city’s next mayor following a successful general election Tuesday night.
Bibb bested Cleveland City Council President Kevin Kelley – also vice-chair of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party – in dominating fashion to succeed retiring four-term Mayor Frank Jackson. At 34, Bibb will be the second-youngest mayor in the city’s history.
