Jim Joyce got more than a primer on the stock market when he took part in IPOready, a programme on raising capital run by Euronext Dublin for growth companies. It was where he picked up a new finance chief and director for HealthBeacon, a medtech company where he is co-founder and chief executive.
The new recruit, Laurence Flavin, was previously chief financial officer at non-bank lender Finance Ireland, another IPOready participant with its eyes on the stock market. The encounter led Flavin, a nephew of DCC founder Jim Flavin, to jump ship to join HealthBeacon this time last year.
