Earlier today, the Internet was uprooted over rumors that Johnny Depp would appear in Rihanna‘s Savage X Fashion Show.
His participation in this event–a lingerie and loungewear fashion show showcasing the newest designs for the pop star’s brand–would mark his first major public appearance since the defamation trial between him and his ex, actress Amber Heard.
Depp and Heard battled it out in court for weeks, until a verdict was delivered in June of this year, with the Pirates of the Caribbean actor receiving over $10 million in damages after the jury found Heard’s 2018 op-ed about domestic violence defamatory. Heard was also awarded $2 million for her countersuit that was filed after Depp’s lawyer referred to her allegations against the actor as a hoax.
