UNC is set up to silence all the haters next season
The Utah Jazz are in 12th in the Western Conference, but they’re only a game and a half out of seventh, so things are wide open for the Play-In tournament in the West. Friday night didn’t help Utah’s cause though as they got pounded by Milwaukee, 144-116.
Sacramento is fighting in the Western Conference standings, but they’re in a much better spot. The Kings beat Phoenix yesterday, 135-127 in Kevin Huerter’s return to the lineup. Now, the Kings are 44-29 and in third in the West. They’ll need to string a few wins together to reclaim the No. 2 seed from Memphis before the end of the regular season.

The Kings were very happy to have Huerter back in their starting lineup. He had 29 points to lead the way against Phoenix and just allows the Kings to be so lethal on offense with Malik Monk and Davion Mitchell coming off the bench. That’s a ton of firepower at the guard spots alongside De’Aaron Fox who is putting together a strong All-NBA resume. Fox is questionable for this one.
The Jazz are lacking a lot of their weapons, especially at the guard spots where Sacramento is so strong. Colin Sexton is out until early April and Jordan Clarkson is out indefinitely with a finger injury. The biggest problem though is that Lauri Markkanen, their own All-NBA candidate, missed the game last night and is also questionable tonight.
There’s a ton up in the air for this one with the Kings potentially without Fox and the Jazz potentially without Markkanen. The Jazz are just starting to get so thin in terms of talent. They had to start Simone Fontecchio yesterday and had Kris Dunn play 27 minutes off the bench. That’s not a team that can compete in the NBA.
