Bangladesh Finance ranks second in Financial Services Sector
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh has given recognition to Bangladesh Finance Limited as the ‘Best Financial Report Publisher in 2020’ in the Financial Services Sector.
The award was given to a total of 31 organizations in 15 categories at a function held at a hotel in the capital on Saturday evening, according to a press release.
Iqbal U Ahmed, director of Bangladesh Finance and Md Kaiser Hamid, managing director, and CEO received the award on behalf of their organization.
Bangladesh Finance ranks second in Financial Services Sector; IDLC Finance Limited has won the first prize in this sector and Delta Brac Housing has won the third prize.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi attended the event as chief guest along with Secretary of Banks and Financial Institutions Division Sheikh Mohammad Selim Ullah, Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh, ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khasru FCS who were also present at the event among other guests.
The list of awardees also includes Janata Bank Limited and Rupali Bank Limited in the public banking sector, Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited Bank Asia and Brac Bank Ltd. in the private banking category. British-American Tobacco, RAK Ceramics and Reckitt Benckiser in the manufacturing sector. Green Delta Reliance and Prime Bank Insurance Company Ltd. in the Insurance sector. ACI Limited in the sector of Diversified Holdings, Grameen Phone Limited in Communications and IT, Investment Corporation and Infrastructure Development Company in Public Sector, Sajida Foundation, Brac and Ghasful in NGO sector. Unique Hotel & Resort in Service Sector, Golden Harvest Agro in Agriculture sector, Bank Asia, Lankabangla Finance and Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited in Corporate Governance sector, in Agriculture, Summit Power in Electricity and Energy sector and Eastern Housing Limited in the Infrastructure and Construction sector has been awarded.
