Bebe Rexha, ‘I still stand by what I said’

Bebe Rexha probably won’t be collaborating with G-Eazy again.

On Thursday, the Grammy-nominated singer posted and then removed what appeared to be a text conversation asking if she had “any interest in shooting social content” with the rapper when she was in New York. Rexha had written in response, “you have my number. why don’t you text me and ask me yourself you stuck up ungrateful loser. You’re lucky people are liking you again. Cause I could go in on all the s—– things you’ve done and how you treated me after giving you your only real hit. Btw the answer is no. Hope you good.”

Hours later, Rexha clarified that, while the post was gone, her feelings were unchanged.

“Someone from my team had me take down my Instagram story. I decided to remove it because it felt very negative and toxic,” she wrote. “Sometimes trauma can lead us to react that way, and that period of my life was traumatizing. I am writing this because I regret taking it down and I want to say that I still stand by what I said.”

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to a rep for G-Eazy, whose real name is Gerald Gillum.

Rexha and G-Eazy made the 2015 song “Me, Myself & I” together. It peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 2016, according to Billboard. They also produced “F.F.F.” in 2017, which landed at No. 51 on the Billboard 200.

Along with G-Eazy, Rexha has also made music with the likes of Dolly Parton, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Lil Uzi Vert, David Guetta, and Doja Cat on three studio albums over the past decade.
