A four-bedroom Craftsman-style home located at 13303 Appalachian Lane in Hillsboro is on the market for $1,495,000.
The home has three finished levels and was custom built in 2018 by Purcellville home builder CaseCo, according to listing agent Kelly Gaitten of Berkshire Hathaway Penfed Realty. Local Wood, based in Leesburg, completed several of the finishes including a waterfall table in the kitchen.
“The home is in a great location between Charles Town, West Virginia and Purcellville. It is about 15 minutes to either town,” Gaitten said.
The exterior features a large 30-acre lot with walking trails that access the Appalachian Trail. It is very private, Gaitten said, and the home is close to the Shenandoah River.
The home has a fire pit, screened porch and wrap around porch.
Gaitten describes the wood beam accents, stone walls and reclaimed English walnut flooring as rustic, elegant touches.
The chef’s kitchen features pale gray cabinetry with leather granite counters in the kitchen. The island has quartz counters with a custom built-in kitchen table. The appliances are all from the GE Monogram series.
A family room sits adjacent to the kitchen and a stone wood burning fireplace serves as a centerpiece.
The owner’s suite is also on the main floor. The owner’s bathroom has a custom sink vanity with wood top and double porcelain farm sink. There is a sliding miniature barn door in place of cabinet doors on the vanity. The bathroom also features a large soaking tub set on hand painted tiles. The home has a total of four and a half bathrooms.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms and custom tiles. There is an open loft which Gaitten said could function as an office space or playroom.
The lower level is finished and walks out to a patio. There is a recreation room, wet bar with custom cabinets and a bedroom and bathroom on that level.
The three-car garage has room for lawn equipment and storage, she said. Above the garage is unfinished space which could be a future guest suite or private office.
