Ford Tears Up
āI think the thing that I most admire about them is the depth and subtlety of the emotion, and the importance of emotion in these films,ā Ford said, according to Fox News.
āAs this last one concerns age and frailty and changing nature of life, it was especially compelling to me because I am of that age and I wanted it to feel real for the audience,ā he continued. āI wanted them to see the complexity of that experience with someone theyāve spent 40 years with.ā
Ford, 81, then became visibly emotional as he addressed fans directly.
āAnd I must say to you thank you sincerely,ā he stated with tears in his eyes. āIt means the world to me.ā

Ford Becomes Emotional At Cannes Film Festival
Ford also became emotional at the Cannes Film Festival last month when Indiana Jones and the Dial of DestinyĀ received a standing ovation that lasted for over five minutes upon its conclusion. Ford was then awarded with a surprise Palme dāOr by Cannes Festival Director Thierry FrĆ©maux, which is the highest award given at the festival.
āIām very moved by this,ā Ford said. āThey say when youāre about to die, you see your life flash before your eyes, and I just saw my life flash before my eyes. A great part of my life, but not all of my life. My life has been enabled by my lovely wife, who has supported my passion and my dreams, and Iām grateful.ā
āI was just trying to keep myself composed,ā he recently told People Magazine of receiving this honor. āThere was very generous applause from the crowd [and] it was positive and humbling and nice.ā

Ford Has No Plans To Retire
Ford may be in his 80s, but heās still as busy as ever in the crazy world of Hollywood. He has two movies that are currently in production, with the first beingĀ ThunderboltsĀ and the second being Captain America: Brave New World.
On top of that, Ford is also starring in two hit shows, the first being the āYellowstoneā prequel ā1923,ā and the second being the Apple TV + show āShrinking.ā Each of these shows have been renewed for second seasons, which will keep Ford especially busy in the months to come.
āIāve been working pretty much back-to-back, which is not what I normally do,ā he told The Hollywood Reporter. āI donāt know how it happened. But it happened.ā
āI love it. I love the challenge and the process of making a movie. I feel at home. Itās what Iāve spent my life doing,ā he continued.Ā āIām here to sell a movie. I donāt want to reinvent myself. I just want to work.ā
