I’m writing in response to the editorial submissions by John Sheirer and John Rhoades about primarily how to get COVID-19 and its variants under control.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a U.S. Republican, Democrat, or Independent, or an Nigerian or Russian citizen. What matters is that we are all citizens of the world and need to act as if we belong to the world human family. Freedom is only viable if it doesn’t harm others.
Not being vaccinated against COVID-19 causes greater risk to all humans of getting COVID-19. Not being vaccinated prolongs the abnormal lifestyles and extraordinary safety precautions most of the world has needed to endure for over 18 months. My hope is that we all can come together on this worldwide issue and agree to a massive collaborative effort to vaccinate at least 80% of the world’s population.
Isn’t it more important than petty political or personal opinions to agree the human race needs to embrace vaccinations to save the world from the plague-like stranglehold of COVID-19? Get your vaccination jabs, then you can go back to verbal and written boxing.
