Holiday-4 Greene County 4-H Extension Agent Kathy Alstat helped families assemble Christmas wreaths out of a variety of fresh-cut greenery, berries, pine cones, ribbons and wire at the Greene County Community Park Dec. 13.
In an annual tradition that moved to a new locale this year, the kids and parents gathered fresh greenery from the woods near the Parks & Rec office before heading inside to craft fresh holiday wreaths under Alstat’s patient tutelage.
After helping to clean up the craft space, the kids were treated to hot cocoa.
