Frisco music and restaurant complex set to start on the Dallas North Tollway

A long-delayed Frisco entertainment venue may finally be moving ahead.

Back in 2018 plans were drawn up for the $40 million Music City entertainment and restaurant complex on the Dallas North Tollway north of Warren Parkway.

The Frisco Music City site is across the tollway from the Dallas Cowboy’s Star complex.

Plans for the project include a more than 1,000-seat indoor theater, a 390-seat outdoor stage and restaurants.

The property for the development is owned by the Frisco Economic Development Corp. And Dallas’ Hodges Architecture is designing the project.

Updated plans for Music City call for a more than 63,000 square-foot building with “concert hall and its accessory rooms for loading, dressing and production, dining areas, wine tasting and bar areas with accessory kitchen with outdoor seating areas,” according to new details filed with the state.

Work is scheduled to start on Music City before the end of the year, with an opening in early 2024.

Frisco is just one of several suburban Dallas cities with new entertainment venues.

Irving’s 4-year-old Toyota Music Factory development which includes a performance theater, retail, restaurant and office space.

And in Allen construction is underway on a 3-acre open-air entertainment venue called The Hub.

Located at Alma Drive and S.H. 121, The Hub will include 23,000 square feet of restaurant space, and event lawn space, a plaza and a 2-story dining pavilion.

It’s part of the 135-acre The Farm mixed-use development on State Highway 121.
