APPLETON – The Lightning’s offense awoke in the second half to the tune of 38 third-quarter points en route to a win over the Patriots.
Matthew Schecklman and Cal Martine did the heavy lifting for the Appleton North offense. Schecklman rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on six carries, while Martine added 110 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.
Matthew Reischl found the end zone twice for the Lightning on carries of 19 and 7 yards.
North’s defense limited East’s offense to 146 total yards and 2.6 yards per play.

LITTLE CHUTE – The Tigers took advantage of two botched punts and an offensive snap that went into the end zone in their victory over the Mustangs at Fitzpatrick Field.
Wrightstown recorded a safety and then Owen Ratkowski recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown off a mishandled punt attempt as the wet conditions played a big factor.
The Tigers (3-2-1, 2-2 North Eastern Conference) capped their scoring with a 6-yard touchdown run from Jacob VanZeeland that was set up by another fumbled punt attempt.
Owen Novitski paced the Tigers defense with four sacks.
“Defensively (the assistant coaches) had a great game plan put together,” Wrightstown head coach Steve Klister said. “We were able to stop the run and we knew they wanted to run the ball against them. But we were able to bottle them up enough.
“Talked to the guys last night about playing all three parts of the game and boy, our special teams came up big tonight.”

GREEN BAY – AJ Korth and Davontre Smith combined for 359 rushing yards and six touchdowns to lead the Bluejays over the Tritons.
Korth led Menasha with 229 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while Smith added 130 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Keegan King caught two passes for 91 yards to lead Notre Dame receivers.

APPLETON – The Thunder kept the ball on the ground, rushing for 251 yards while attempting just one pass in the win over the Foxes.
Braden DeBruin led Seymour with 102 yards rushing on 17 carries. Cole Tetzlaff had 101 yards rushing on nine carries.
Fox Valley Lutheran was led by Liam Heiges, who ran for 40 yards on eight carries.

Carson Sippel hauled in a 29-yard receiving score from Finnley Doriot to get Kaukauna on the scoreboard in the third quarter. Sippel had 81 receiving yards on seven receptions.
Hunter Natrop rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown to pace the Ghosts in rushing.

BRUSSELS – The Eagles rushed 59 times for 318 yards in the win over the Truckers.
Southern Door, which trailed 8-6 after a Sam Wegener to Cole Rosenow 36-yard pass and two-point conversion in the first quarter for the Truckers, took control in the second on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Drew Daoust to Jared Hawkey and a 52-yard touchdown run by Jack Peterson.
Southern Door was led by Taylor Schaefer with 135 yards rushing on 30 carries.
Clintonville was paced by Sam Wegener, who completed 10-of-27 passes for 162 yards.
