Finance co owner held for conning investors in Lucknow | Lucknow News

LUCKNOW: Director of a finance company, who was on the run since 2017 after defrauding investors of Rs 9 crore, fell in the police net on Saturday. The accused, Rukhsar Ahmad of Chinhat, is a native of Ambedkarnagar who later shifted to Lucknow and opened a finance company in Lekhraj area.
“He floated lucrative schemes to trap gullible investors. He promised them 30-40% returns against their investment and amassed huge wealth. By the time the police came to know about the wrongdoings in 2017, he managed to escape with Rs 9 crore,” said ADCP, North, Prachi Singh. He was arrested from Polytechnic crossing on Saturday.
