Teen Mom alum Farrah Abraham is facing controversy after a hairstylist alleged she left a 12-hour appointment for herself and daughter Sophia without paying or promoting the salon as promised.
Salon owner @hairbyfknslay’s claims quickly circulated online on April 13, 2026, leading Abraham to address the allegations with her own take on the situation.
Us Weekly is breaking down Farrah Abraham’s salon drama below:
What Happened Before Farrah Abraham’s Stylist Spoke Out
Farrah Abraham visited Marseya McAnally, a hairstylist based in Fort Worth, Texas, to get her and her daughter, Sophia, prom-ready.
McAnally — a.k.a Slay — said they were planning on doing a social media collaboration in which Abraham would promote her salon and the stylist behind it all by sharing before-and-after photos. McAnally began by teasing who her new client was on April 13, 2026.
“You won’t believe who’s hair this is,” McAnally wrote in the video, alongside her caption, “Hint: She was 16 when you met her 🖤.”
McAnally showed matted sections of Abraham’s hair and told her followers, “When it comes to k-tips, blonding and ANY type of extensions realIy … I preach and I preach. Maintenance.”
She added, “Even with all the money in the world nothing can save you from damage that comes with improper at home care [for extensions].” McAnally noted there was a “dematting pre-session” before they could touch up the rest of her hair with fresh color.
Where Things Went South During Farrah Abraham’s Salon Visit
“If Farrah Abraham asks you to do her hair — DONT DO IT. I PROMISE ITS NOT WORTH IT,” Marseya McAnally alleged in the caption of her follow-up video posted on April 13, 2026. “FARRAH ABRAHAM left without paying and blocked me before the collab she agreed to do. She’s posting pictures and not giving credit like she agreed to do.”
The hairstylist continued, “A HUGE THANK YOU to @a.chemicalromance for helping slay the WHOLE 12 hour session 💞🖤,” giving a shout-out to makeup artist @beautybykelseyxoxo.

Abraham was accused of showing up to her appointment two hours late with matted hair. McAnally said that she and her team got to work for 12 hours on Abraham and her daughter, Sophia, and didn’t finish up until midnight.
There was apparently a disagreement between Abraham and McAnally, so the MTV alum allegedly refused to credit the stylist or tag her at all in any content despite taking photos of the finished product. McAnally shared a photo of Abraham smiling once her hair was styled and curled.
“The way she paid $0 and did 0 marketing,” McAnally captioned a video of herself addressing the drama.
