The reviews are in for this year’s AFL Grand Final pre-game entertainment, headlined by global superstar Robbie Williams and Australian music icon Delta Goodrem.
With the Grand Final returning to the MCG for the first time since 2019, the AFL was intent on locking in star-studded entertainment for football’s biggest day.
While the reception to pre-game entertanment can often be mixed, Williams’ 20-minute set was met with almost universal acclaim.
He performed ‘Angels’ in tribute to Shane Warne, while also belted out hits such as ‘Rock DJ’ and ‘Let Me Entertain You’.
Delta Goodrem joined Robbie to perform ‘Kids’.
“It’s the best pre-game entertainment the game has ever seen,” Gerard Whateley said on AFL Nation.
