Country music superstar and growing Nashville businessman Eric Church has announced a 27-date run of shows with 18 hand-selected special guest performers that will occur between June-October 2023.
Notably, the run of the “Outsiders Revival Tour” shows marks the first outdoor summer amphitheater events in his two-decade-long mainstream country music career.
“When I approach touring, I’m always inspired by a new experience, a new way to gather, to express ourselves sonically and visually. Whether it’s solo, in the round, double down; being able to bring a different perspective has always brought out our best creatively,” Church noted via a press release. “[I’ve] never brought a summer experience to your town that featured artists we want to share the summer with, until now. See you in the season of sunshine with some fellow outsiders that shine brightest when the sun goes down.”
A mix of establishing Billboard chart-toppers, independent country favorites and well-regarded singer-songwriters will join “The Chief” on tour throughout North America. These names include the following:
Whiskey Myers, Cody Jinks, Jelly Roll, Ashley McBryde, Koe Wetzel, Lainey Wilson, Midland, Parker McCollum, Travis Tritt, Elle King and Paul Cauthen, plus Jackson Dean, Morgan Wade, Muscadine Bloodline, Shane Smith & The Saints, Hailey Whitters, Ray Wylie Hubbard and The Red Clay Strays.
Tickets for all concert dates will go on sale next Friday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.com. In addition, presale access will be available to Church Choir fan club members starting Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. local time.
There is no Nashville date on the tour (the closest visit is Bristol’s Country Thunder Festival on Oct. 7). However, Church is also currently expanding his business holdings in Music City.
On Nov. 28, 2002, Church and longtime manager John Peets unveiled Solid Entertainment. The company’s focus is expanding the singer’s off-stage footprint via his upcoming Lower Broadway bar and music venue Chief’s, the newly-launched SiriusXM channel Outsiders Radio, his Church Choir fan club and an in-house merchandise line.
Industry professional Marshall Alexander is listed as Solid Entertainment’s president; he also provides oversight on Chief’s, a six-story BBQ joint, bar and live entertainment spot that plans to open next year in Nashville’s bustling Lower Broadway nightlife district. The seven-person team includes day-to-day management, Outsiders Radio leadership and digital marketing, plus fan club and merchandising operations.
“As our business continues to expand in different areas, it was important to me to establish a team of people that is focused on this growth,” Church said in a media statement. “None of us got into music for the business of it, yet it’s part of how we are our most creative selves: through finding those other avenues for connection. It’s humbling to be in a position where such incredibly talented people want to focus on the future together.”
