“Atomic Radio — Special Fantasy Edition” will be presented at 8 p.m. June 4 at Off Pitt Street Theater, 110 W. Pitt St., Bedford. The show will include two fantasy tales, “The Golden Goose” and “The Reluctant Dragon,” featuring members of OPS Kids. Atomic Radio is a live performance radio show with costumes, lighting, and special “Foley Sound Effects.” Admission is donation only. Reservations are recommended but not required. Dance with the band White Shadow will be hosted by the Alum Bank Community Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary from 6:30 to 10 p.m. June 12 at the fire hall. Admission will be $5 per person. 15th annual cruise-in will be hosted by the Cumberland Valley Township Volunteer Fire Department from 2 to 8 p.m. June 12 at the fire hall, 4344 Bedford Valley Road, Bedford. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, homemade ice cream and a chicken barbecue. A burn-out contest will begin at 6 p.m. Dash plaques will be given to the first 75 vehicles entered at the cruise-in.

Cruise-In Summer Classic shows will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 5, July 3, Aug. 7 and Sept. 4 at Thomas Chevrolet, 4003 Business Route 220, Bedford. Cruise-ins will be sponsored by the Fort Bedford Auto Club of the Antique Automobile Club of America from 4 to 7 p.m. June 12, July 24, Aug. 21 and Sept. 18 at Happy Hollow Restaurant, 10924 Raystown Road, Saxton. All makes and years of cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome to participate. Bring chairs. There will be music. Eat-in and take-out food service will be available. Masks may be required inside.

Summer cruise-ins will be hosted by R&N Tire and held at the Moon Glo II Skating Rink parking lot, Bedford, from 5 to 8 p.m. June 20, July 18, Aug. 15 and Sept. 19. Music will be provided by a disc jockey. Customized cars, trucks, motorcycles, antique vehicles can be displayed. There is no charge. Food will be available. Jalopy Jubilee will be hosted by Legends of Route 30 June 5, beginning at 10 a.m., at the Bedford County Fairgrounds, Bedford. The speedway will be open from noon to 5 p.m.. Rodsters, hot rods, jalopies and a race car exhibit will open at noon. A car show with disc jockey music is planned for 4 to 7 p.m., and a live band will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. The movie “Cars” will be shown at 9:15 p.m. Admission will be $10 for anyone 16 and older and free for anyone under age 16. Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Bedford will host the exhibit “Trees: An Appreciation of Nature” through July 10 and the exhibit “Bedford’s Poignant Moments: A Photography Exhibition” through Aug. 14. The museum is located at the historic Anderson House at 137 E. Pitt St. Bedford and is open from noon to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Bedford PA Community Drum Circle, designed for fun, relaxation and community building, will take place, rain or shine, from 6 to 8 p.m. July 25, Aug. 29, Sept. 26 and Oct. 31 outdoors at 420 S. Entries will be accepted for the sixth annual OPS Playwriting Contest until Aug. 1. For $10 per entry, authors in the central and western regions of Pennsylvania and the Cumberland, Md., region may submit a new, unpublished one-act play for judging. Off Pitt Street Theater Company will produce the first- and second-place winners and highlight the third-place winner at the “Winner’s Showcase” in April 2022.
