Wondering what the difference in audio quality is between the Dyson Zone and a pair of Apple’s AirPods Max? Especially since the Zone features two motors in each of its earcups to power their filtration? Well, anyone expecting their Metallica megamix to be drowned out by an incessant hum is going to be in for a pleasant surprise. The active noise cancellation in these headphones is totally legit, even when those motors are amped up to the max.
Although these headphones aren’t exactly petite, they’re nowhere near as heavy as you’d expect when you try them on. Weight is distributed evenly across your head and foam cushioning ensures a comfortable fit. That visor is especially thin and nimble – you can even flip it down from your face when you want to converse with someone. As much wearing the Zone without succumbing to self-consciousness feels like a big ask, there’s plenty to admire in the health-related intentions and innovation behind them.
The Dyson Zone air-purifying headphones will be available to buy from Autumn 2022. No pricing information is available yet, but you can expect these to be pricey when they do arrive in stores and online.
