A COVENTRY barber shop will be featured on tonight’s episode of ‘The Gadget Show’.
Dashing Blades in FarGo village will be testing out an expensive and cheaper set of beard trimmers to see how they measure up against each other, with the gadgets even being tested on the shows presenter Jon Bentley.
Owner Rob Walton was contacted on Instagram by the show’s producer, who said they were doing a feature on beard trimmers and liked the look of the shop.
Rob said: “I initially said no as I didn’t want to close the shop for filming, but we had a meeting and decided a quiet day could be agreed.
“The shop being in Coventry was central to everything.
“Filming took eight hours, longer than I expected but the team from Channel 5 were great fun and we all enjoyed it.
“Being at FarGo village and by Coventry University, we’re used to people filming and taking photos so it’s not too different.”
Rob added he hasn’t seen tonight’s show yet but he hopes it will be of some value to people.
