El Paso Comic Con: The pop-culture event will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at the El Paso convention center. General admission tickets are $20 Friday, $35 Saturday and $30 Sunday for people 10 years old and older; younger than 10 are free with a paid adult. A weekend pass is $65 and a VIP pass is $150. Reggae/pop singer Matt U Johnson: The El Pasoan will perform two songs, including “Pon Fire,” which he recorded with hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg and international Canadian pop singer Karl Wolf, at his release party 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at El Paso Draft House, 5850 N. Mesa St.
Saturday
Lupillo Rivera: The Mexican Regional singer will perform starting at 9 p.m. Saturday at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center, 122 S. Old Pueblo Road. Free.
“La Tia de Carlos”: Los Actores will put on the comedy in Spanish at 8 p.m. Saturday and Sept. 18, and 2 p.m. Sunday and Sept. 19 at Cathedral High School Auditorium, 1309 N. Stanton St. Tickets for the Saturday performances are $10 general admission; $8 for seniors (65 and older), military, teachers, students and first responders; and $6 for children (12 and younger) and groups of 10 or more. Downtown Farmers Market: The El Paso Downtown Artist and Farmers Market, featuring handmade arts and crafts and regional agricultural products, is open again from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at 117 Anthony St.
Ardovino’s Farmers Market: The market will feature various locally grown produce, arts and crafts, prepared foods and more from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing, 1 Ardovinos Drive, Sunland Park, New Mexico. Free. 575-589-0653, ext. 3.

Mariachi Sunday: Speaking Rock Entertainment Center offers Mariachi Sundays at 2 p.m. at 122 S. Old Pueblo Road.
Scenic Sunday: Scenic Drive will shut down to traffic from 6 to 11 a.m. every Sunday to allow walkers, runners, cyclists and skaters to enjoy a traffic-free adventure. Free. elpasotexas.gov.

Karaoke Night: Speaking Rock Entertainment Center, 122 S. Old Pueblo Road, is hosting karaoke nights from 7 to 10 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays with a chance to win prizes. For people ages 21 and older.
Tuesday
Kevin Gates: The rapper will bring his Khaza Tour to the El Paso County Coliseum at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The show will start at 7 p.m. Tickets, ranging from $45 to $150, are available at ticketmaster.com and universe.com/events/kevin-gates-khaza-tour-tickets-FG5NKQ.
Geeks Who Drink: The teams meet at 7 p.m. every Tuesday at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Montecillo and at 7 p.m. Thursdays at the new Alamo Drafthouse Cinema East. Geeks Who Drink is free to play for teams of up to six players, age 21 and older. Arrive early to secure a table and register your team. The top two teams in pop culture win prizes.
