EXCLUSIVE: CoComelon maker Moonbugâs latest deal has been struck with Brazilian content hub Watch.
The pair have partnered on more than 100 hours of Moonbug kids content including CoComelon, Blippi, Little Baby Bum and Little Angel. The partnership includes a linear channel dedicated to Moonbug content.
Watch said it currently partners with more than 2,000 internet service providers, reaching more than 3.5 million subscribers across 4,500 municipalities throughout Brazil. The content hub offers packages featuring the likes of HBO Max, Globo and ESPN.
Candle Media-owned Moonbugâs strategy has long been to strike piecemeal deals for its content around the world. Its biggest hit, CoComelon, is soon to make the high-profile streaming switch from Netflix to Disney and a movie is in the works.
âThe addition of Moonbug strengthens our kids and family content offering,â said MaurĂcio Almeida, President of Watch. âThis is a meaningful benefit for both consumers and internet providers, especially at a time when rising streaming costs are impacting the market. Providers of all sizes need accessible, high-quality content options that help drive customer loyalty.â
Manuel Reveiz, Director of Distribution and Partnerships for Latin America at Moonbug, added: âFor families, finding content that is fun, safe, and trustworthy is essential. Through Watch, weâre bringing a Moonbug channel directly into Brazilian homesâgiving parents peace of mind about what their children are watching.â
