Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy are pregnant again!
The Danes-Dancy pack will soon become a family of five, as the two are expecting their third child later this year. The celebrity couple shared the exciting news exclusively with PEOPLE earlier today.
Neither the baby’s gender nor Danes’ potential due date were included in the topics of conversation, but the couple could not be happier for their growing family.
Danes and Dancy are also the proud parents of two sons, Cyrus Michael Christopher, 10, and Rowan, 4.
The two actors married 13 years ago and two years after first meeting on the set of their 2007 film Evening, where the couple played fictional lovers embroiled in a tumultuous love triangle onscreen. While the two started out as just friends, the filming in picturesque Rhode Island brought them closer together. “There was one day when we were bicycling by the water, and it was sparkly and idyllic, and I just had this dumb epiphany, like, I’m really just happy,” Danes spilled to Marie Claire in 2017.
Initially, Danes didn’t have any serious plans for a relationship between them, as she had been the type of person to jump from relationship to relationship. But in her attempts to have more casual sex with others, she had an epiphany and realized that Dancy was the one she wanted. On Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert, she confessed that the one-night stand was the “palate cleanser” needed to realize her true feelings. “Oh s**t! I think I’m going to marry this person,” she remembered thinking.
Not long after that, the couple publicly began dating, and Dancy continued to woo her, even showing off at a Christmas party. “He made an ornament of cowboy paper dolls, and I thought, ‘And he crafts?’ That was it. You have me for the rest of our lives,” she told Net-a-Porter.
