NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) – It’s become a local tradition like no other.
The Chaz & AJ McDermott Chevrolet & Lexus of New Haven Toy Drive kicked off from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday from Jordan’s Furniture in New Haven.
Channel 3′s Scot Haney pledged to be lifted 75 feet in a bucket truck as part of the festivities. He was lifted up around 6:40 a.m.:

The event featured live music, local celebrity appearances, and comedians.
It raises money and gathers toy donations for children in need.
Organizers said proceeds benefit half a dozen charities, including Boys & Girls Village, Inc., Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley, Central Connecticut Coast YMCA, McGivney Community Center, TEAM, Inc., and The Center for Family Justice, Inc.
