LG CLOiD

That means CLOiD is a real signal of where companies think home life is headed.
Roborock Saros Rover
If you’ve ever wished your robot vacuum could actually handle stairs, Roborock might be about to make that dream real. The Saros Rover has stair-climbing legs! At CES 2026, the Saros Rover tackled a flight of steps, balanced itself across obstacles, and cleaned each stair as it went. The movement was strangely graceful, almost bird-like. It’s not fast, five steps took around 30–40 seconds, but it’s thorough.
What’s really impressive is the Rover‘s sense of its surroundings. The Rover navigates thresholds, curved staircases, and varied flooring. That’s thanks to a mix of AI, motion sensors, and 3D spatial mapping that helps it anticipate obstacles. According to Roborock, it can even dodge fast-moving objects like pets or tossed toys—which is no small feat for a machine of this size.
Roborock says the product will be available for purchase, but there are no exact dates or pricing, yet.
Anker Eufy S2
A forward-thinking CES 2026 home robot that you can actually buy is the Anker EufyS2. Instead of just vacuuming and washing your floors, it also perfumes. With built-in scents ranging from bamboo to lychee to basil, the idea is to bring spa vibes to your space. Just how pleasant that will be in real life is up for discussion, but it’s a fun twist on floor care.
Beyond the aromatherapy, the Eufy S2 is a powerhouse. Up to 30,000Pa of suction puts it among the most advanced robot cleaners out there, and its AI-driven navigation and 3D mapping allow it to dodge hundreds of obstacle. Its mopping system is equally high-tech: a self-cleaning roller mop lifts for carpets, presses hard enough to scrub floors effectively, and even extends to reach edges and baseboards.
Tying it all together is a nearly hands-off cleaning station that refills water, empties the dustbin, and washes and dries the mop. It’s not cheap at $1,599, but as an all-in-one solution that scents your home, it’s worth keeping an eye on.
HONOR Robot Phone
When HONOR first teased its Robot Phone in October, I was skeptical. A phone with a gimbal-style robotic arm built in? It sound a bit unecessary. At CES 2026 HONOR is showcasing a prototype in action. The flip-out arm, which houses a DJI Osmo-like camera, fits into the phone’s body when not in use. This makes the device look almost like a standard phone at a glance.
The arm is precise, smooth, and clearly designed for creators who want to shoot video or photography with a tool that can do things a normal smartphone can’t. HONOR will allow journalists to get hands-on at Mobile World Congress in March. The Robot Phone is clearly aimed at content creators and tech enthusiasts—but it’s a breath of fresh air in a smartphone market that’s been painfully safe for years.
The future of household robots
CES 2026 household robots aren’t just novelty concepts. They’re starting to feel genuinely useful. From LG’s CLOiD coordinating chores, to the legged agility of Roborock’s Saros Rover, the future of home life is looking smarter, and more automated. These devices aren’t perfect yet, but they’re pointing the way toward homes where robots handle the mundane tasks—leaving us free for the things that actually matter.
