The CEOs of K-pop record labels SM Entertainment and Big Hit Music have been named on Billboard’s list of the “2022 Indie Power Players,” defined as leaders who contribute to the success of the independent music scene.
Billboard released the list on Monday which includes SM’s co-CEOs Lee Sung-soo and Tak Young-jun, along with Big Hit Music’s Shin Young-jae.
Other executives that made the list were Ken Burnt of Disney Music Group, and the co-CEOs of the label Roc Nation, Shari Bryant and Omar Grant.
In April, the three Korean CEOs were also named on Billboard’s list of “2022 International Power Players.”
