CAAHAC to host A Haunted Evening with Aiken Symphony Orchestra | Entertainment

The Center for African American History, Art & Culture will host A Haunted Evening with Aiken Symphony Orchestra on Friday, Oct. 28 from 6-8 p.m.

In collaboration with the Aiken Symphony Orchestra, CAAHAC will host the first, in a series of three concerts. Tours of the building will be offered by Center staff and volunteers as well as free candy for everyone in costume. Beginning at 7 p.m., the quintet will begin a concert on the second floor that will include a few spooky selections in preparation for Halloween.

This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to wear their spookiest costumes.

The Aiken Symphony Orchestra, a not-for-profit IRS 501 (c)(3) organization, brings a dramatic enhancement to the music culture of Aiken. The ASO represents an ensemble of some of the best professional classical instrumentalists from South Carolina and Georgia. The Aiken Symphony Orchestra greatly adds to the vitality and sophistication required of Aiken in order to attract new businesses, employees, tourists, and recent retirees to our community.

The CAAHAC is also a not-for-profit IRS 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to be an educational resource supporting both Aiken’s diversity and sense of community. This is achieved by providing quality leadership and development in preserving the history of African American culture throughout Aiken and Aiken County. The Center proactively engages in educational and public programming while working collaboratively with other community organizations.
