Britney Spears has claimed she wasn’t allowed to “drive herself” at times during her conservatorship.
The 40-year-old singer regained control of her assets in November last year when a conservatorship was terminated by a Los Angeles court, and the ‘Toxic’ hitmaker has told how she had up to eight different male guards who used to drive her around during her 13 years as a conservatee.
She wrote on Instagram: “I guess when you’re the type of person who finally starts to speak up … people don’t like you anymore !!!!
“You have to understand I haven’t had a girl in the car with me for a while !!!! I used to not be able to drive myself even with 8 different guards driving me daily !!!! Each one a different speed and I’m the one that had to adjust to THEIR TIMING IN MY F****** CAR … not to mention … the four months I wasn’t able to drive at all or walk out the f****** door by myself !!!!
“Anyways I’ve mostly had men at my wheel … so messed up … besides the one time my cousin flew to see me and we had the crippling sad conversation of PLANS … I mean had NONE … I couldn’t even go to the spa!!! (sic)”
Britney went for lunch with her assistant earlier this week and admitted that was the first time a woman has been in her car for “a long time”.
She added: “So anyways … me and my assistant went for lunch yesterday… the first time a girl has been in my car in a long time and I’m not sure what happened but I could HEAR !!!! Maybe I need to get my ears checked or maybe women have a stronger sense than men but whatever happened I heard music … for the first time I could even hear the words with clarity … anyways it was pretty cool !!! (sic)”
Britney – who has sons Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15 – also admitted she learned to love animals during her conservatorship.
She added: “I’ve learned the selfishness of people like there’s no tomorrow …. in conjunction with all of this I realized one thing and one thing only will say it again learn to love animals !!!!! Pssss … I forgot I did have one cool visitor who was a girl that visited me … we rode around the neighborhood !!!! (sic)”
