Braver Angels hosts event to bridge the political divide

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Politics can be polarizing, but the co-founder of Braver Angels believes it’s possible to find common ground.

The Rotary Club invited Bill Doherty to speak with its members and the local media.

Doherty has a background in family therapy and community engagement.

He started his non-profit to bring people with opposing political views together.

Braver Angels holds community workshops to bridge the political divide.

“We have differences but that doesn’t mean there’s a right or wrong or good or bad,” said Executive Director of Leader Ethics Lee Rasch. “We just have different views on things that are important to us.”

Braver Angels will hold a workshop on depolarizing politics on Sept. 10.

Visit the organization’s website for more information about events.
