ONE of our Great Gadget Giveaway winners has received her tablet and described her elation with her prize.
Smithills resident Doreen Shaw entered the competition to win a new tablet without much expectation, although plenty of hope, that she could replace her current device, which she has owned for around 10 years.
Mrs Shaw, 75, has not yet had chance to use her prize, but she is looking forward to getting set up on it, which she says she will use to stay abreast of news, weather and stay in contact with friends and family on social media.
Mrs Shaw said: “I was absolutely elated. I don’t usually win anything. I did win £30 on the lottery this week but the dog ate the ticket, so to actually win something was really nice.
“My tablet has had its day so it’s something that I really wanted. I was very pleased.”
