Friday’s Major League Baseball slate is loaded with some intriguing pitching matchups, and with that in mind there are three I’m targeting in the prop market today.

The Dodgers rocked Madison Bumgarner earlier this season, scoring five runs in four innings while racking up four hits and working four walks.
Meanwhile, Clayton Kershaw held this young Arizona team to just one run through six innings, punching out nine.
With this pitching matchup, I think the Dodgers have no problem taking the lead early on.

Clarke Schmidt struggled in his season debut, lasting just 3.1 innings for the New York Yankees, but he still struck out five batters in that game.
Now, Schmidt is looking to rebound against a Baltimore Orioles team that is 28th in MLB in strikeouts per game this season (10.33).
If Schmidt can work deeper into this game, he’s in a great spot to clear this prop.

I’m buying low on Zack Wheeler after he had a brutal first start of the season against the Texas Rangers.
Wheeler has been one of the best pitchers in baseball the past few seasons, and I think he’s going to mow down a Cincinnati Reds lineup that has overachieved early this season.
Last season, Wheeler completed six innings in 17 of his 26 starts. He’s a great buy-low candidate today.
