This month began abuzz with pre-Met Gala anticipation as Hollywood’s elite and the sartorially blessed descended. Their arrival heralded a week of exclusive soirées and tantalizing glimpses of their style on the first Monday in May.
Sabrina Carpenter, for instance, exuded poised allure at a Versace fête, draped in a slinky aquamarine gown from the Italian house. Other stars opted for voluminous silhouettes yet maintained a restrained color palette, like Blake Lively in a Christopher John Rogers little white ruffled frock.
The Met Gala after-parties provided further style inspiration, with Rihanna stepping out in an all-black ensemble featuring a slinky Ann Demeulemeester cropped shirt and a fluid, silken skirt. Meanwhile, Hailey Bieber opted for sleek modernity in a corseted Dilara Fındıkoğlu corset dress.
Across the Atlantic in Rome, Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet made their highly anticipated red-carpet debut as a couple. Jenner chose a timeless black Schiaparelli maxi gown. (Chalamet, in a dapper black suit, was no sartorial slouch either.)
