This autogyro barely outpoints the Bede Acrostar from “Octopussy” as the best flying device. Assembled on the fly by the Q Branch, this aircraft features flamethrowers, aerial mines, rockets and air-to-air missiles.
3. Amphibious Lotus Esprit, ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’
How do you try to top the car chase from “Goldfinger?” By going underwater! After emitting a cement sprayer (actually oatmeal), 007 gets chased off a dock, only to show that this vehicle doubles as a submarine — armed with torpedoes and mines! The necessary surface-to-air missiles come in handy, too.
2. Mobile Phone with Upgrade, ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’
I have trouble playing “Words With Friends” on my phone — and this has a stun gun, fingerprint scanner, lock pick and remote control for Bond’s car? Sadly, he doesn’t have unlimited texting.
