Bangladesh Coast Guard south zone distributed life jackets, life buoys, radios and torches among the fishermen of the remote areas adjacent to Meghna and Tetulia rivers in Bhola district on Wednesday on the occasion of Mujib Year.
Bangladesh Coast Guard director general Rear Admiral Ashraful Haque Chowdhury was present as chief guest on the occasion attended also by other senior officers, said a press release.
Regular cooperation of the Bangladesh Coast Guard, including relief and rehabilitation among the distressed people in the areas affected by natural calamities, is continuing and such activities will continue in future also.
