The program include 20 student-athletes (“mentees”), who represent 15 colleges and universities across nine sports. NBC Sports Group employees serve as program mentors and represent a diverse range of business functions including legal, human resources, marketing, digital, communications, operations, IT, finance, sales, and media production. Â
Commencing on November 17, 2021 and running through May 2022, mentees will engage in events and webinars focused on career development, network-building, personal branding, communication, interviewing skills, and navigating the workplace. NBC Sports Group mentors will share their professional experience, insights and networks, while the Women’s Sports Foundation will facilitate monthly learning sessions powered by Exos, a company that is a world leader in human performance, whose integrated coaching approach empowers people to ascend to new heights in work, sport, and life, and who focuses on proactive health and performance for elite athletes, businesses and the military. This diverse programming aims to inspire and support women collegiate athletes as they explore potential career paths. Â
