Five O’Clock Shadow

What: An a capella vocal ensemble from Boston will perform a concert to support the Bridges House for homeless veterans. Plymouth State University groups Vocal Order and Mixed Emotions will open

When: Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Colonial Theatre, Laconia

Finding Home exhibit

What: “Finding Home: Portraits and Memories of Immigrants” by New Hampshire photographer Becky Field is based on her book, published last year. It is a collection of photographs and stories of forty immigrant families in New Hampshire. The multimedia exhibit will include photography, texts, and audio recordings that address cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in the Granite State.

When: Opening reception Oct. 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. It will remain on display through Dec. 20

Sleepy Hollow: the musical

What: When an inane schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane, comes to the farming community of Sleepy Hollow, he brings with him all his worldly possessions as he seeks a well-to-do wife. He’s sure his dream will come true when he spots the striking Katrina Van Tassel. Sadly, for poor Ichabod, the boisterous Brom Bones is Katrina’s extremely jealous boyfriend. When Ichabod proposes marriage to Katrina at a party, he is kicked out by Brom, forcing him to make his way through the graveyard during a raging storm.

When:  Oct. 22 at 7 p.m., Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Oct. 24 at 2 p.m.

Cost: $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 65 and above, and $10 for youth 17 and under

Phantom of the Opera

What: “The Phantom of the Opera” (1925), the silent big-screen adaptation of the classic thriller, will be shown with live music by Jeff Rapsis. 

When:  Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m.
