Local non-profit Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area has welcomed Frank D. McArthur II to its board.
McArthur, the retired president of the Benefits Solutions Group and partner in life insurance and estate planning firm McArthur Sanchez Associates, has a long history of involvement in nonprofit organizations. Since moving to Baton Rouge in 1978, he has served on the boards of more than 20 nonprofits, including the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, Woman’s Hospital and the Louisiana Public Broadcasting Foundation for Excellence.

Over the years he has received many awards for his philanthropic efforts. He has also worked to promote philanthropic giving in the community as the Founder of the Leave a Legacy program.
McArthur has a personal interest in the Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area. He joined in honor of his wife, Kathy McArthur, who was a prior board member and who was diagnosed with frontal temporal dementia five years ago.
Frank McArthur has ben focused on her care and the support for others struggling in similar roles, especially those who cannot afford professional help. The McArthurs have made a planned gift to help sustain and grow their impact beyond their lifetimes.
Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area is an independent, local nonprofit serving families affected by Alzheimer’s, or a related dementia, in the Greater Baton Rouge area. It aims to be the local one-stop resource to educate and support families and healthcare professionals on all aspects of the disease, as well as helping make resources available as care needs progress.
Beginning in 1983, it has since evolved into the local resource providing support and education to those impacted by Alzheimer’s, or a related dementia, in the Greater Baton Rouge area.
