How would you describe your style?
My style is a blend of timeless and casual aesthetics. It’s consistently simple, leaning towards the elegance of neutral shades to achieve an effortless look. Whether I’m at work, out for a cocktail, or traveling, my wardrobe consists of clothes that I feel comfortable in — pieces that seamlessly transition across various settings and effortlessly complement one another. In essence, my aim is to cultivate a style that encapsulates both timelessness and simplicity, enabling me to stand out effortlessly in any situation while maintaining an understated allure that avoids drawing too much attention.
What’s your earliest memory of being into menswear?
I have a vivid memory captured in a film photo my dad took when I was three. It was Christmas day of 1993, and in the photograph, I was sporting a jacket, waistcoat, striped shirt, bow tie, and a charming teddy bear pin on the lapel. Even though I can’t claim a passion for menswear at such a tender age, my parents have always had an influence on me in terms of caring about dressing well as a form of good manners.
Over the years, this ethos has guided me, even as my style evolved through different phases. Post-university, I started to take my personal style more seriously and transitioned to a more ‘classic’ approach, prioritizing timeless pieces over fleeting trends, which was the beginning of Gents Cafe.
In a world that moves rapidly, I believe in the importance of embracing the art of slowing down and curating one’s journey.

Tell us a little bit more about Gents Cafe.
I launched Gents Cafe’s Instagram account in 2016 when I was still in my 20s, embarking on my style journey. Gents Cafe started as my creative outlet, a personal mood board where I aimed to visually represent my definition of being a Modern Gentleman by curating inspiring content found on social media. Over time, it has transformed into a global community, a dynamic media brand, and a creative studio.
With a community of over 55,000 people on social media and 11,000 weekly newsletter readers, Gents Cafe engages in contemporary discussions about style, culture, and life. This evolution has been made possible by collaborating with an incredible team of more than 20 contributors.
At Gents Cafe, our mission is to empower men to lead intentional lives through a combination of slow content, community experiences, and bespoke brand partnerships that initiate meaningful conversations. In a world that moves rapidly, we believe in the importance of embracing the art of slowing down and curating one’s journey.
Thanks to a community-driven platform, our goal is to inspire, connect, and guide gentlemen on a purpose-driven path where style intersects with substance, creating a positive impact.
What are some of your favorite brands?
In addition to owning select pieces from renowned brands such as Barbour and Corneliani, I like exploring and embracing niche labels that bring a unique flair to my wardrobe. Among my favorites, Scarosso stands out as my go-to for meticulously crafted shoes, combining quality with affordability, while Formula Iozzi has become a trusted choice for overshirts, effortlessly blending style and functionality. When it comes to shirts, Berkeley consistently delivers in terms of quality and design. Adding a touch of sophistication to my wrist, I appreciate the understated elegance of watches from the brand UNIMATIC. These carefully curated selections not only reflect my discerning taste but also contribute to the distinct character of my personal style.
Most recent menswear (or accessory) purchase?
My latest addition is a jacket from Barbour International, part of “The Steve McQueen Collection”.
Favorite piece in your closet?
A navy blue turtle-neck cashmere sweater. Not only is it incredibly soft, providing a delightful wearing experience, but its versatility allows me to effortlessly incorporate it into various outfits.
Most-worn item in your closet?
A pair of selvage blue jeans. My love for denim stems from its remarkable versatility – whether paired with loafers for a polished look or sneakers for a more relaxed vibe.
How has your style changed over time?
In my early 20s, I found myself drawn to “famous brands,” prioritizing fashion trends over timeless style. As time passed, a shift occurred – I began prioritizing quality over the allure of logos. The concept of style transformed for me, evolving into an extension of my personality rather than a conformity to trends. The journey of personal style is an ongoing exploration that matures over time. It’s a transformative process, never fully concluded, as style continually adapts and reshapes itself. Now, I believe I have discerned and articulated the fundamental elements that shape my distinct and evolving style.
