Why you should be eating watermelon rind

* It can reduce blood pressure

* It’s rich in fibre

* It has the amino acid citrulline, which can improve your exercise performance, and even make you better in bed

‘I was speechless when I saw how this watermelon fork works. You can clean this watermelon seamlessly at every angle using this,’ Adrian said.

Fans are going wild for the ‘amazing’ product, and are desperate to get their hands on one.

‘Love this,’ one woman said.

‘I’m obsessed,’ a happy customer wrote.

Others advised that a cheap way to make the product yourself would be to bend the outer two fork prongs inwards.

‘Bends two end pieces of fork and does same thing,’ one man said.

Some people weren’t convinced the gadget was a necessity.

‘Convenient? Just use a knife,’ one man commented.

‘I appreciate the spirt of invention but maybe it hasn’t been made cause it is not needed.’

What are the best watermelon cutting gadgets?

This $58 Amazon watermelon cube cutter makes the perfect cubes each time

This $34 large slicer and de-corer is perfect for watermelon but can also be used on other fruits such as lemons

The foodie previously shared a different watermelon cutter that ‘easily’ makes watermelon cubes.

The watermelon ‘windmill’ cutter costs $30 on Amazon and can be used for a range of fruits including melon and papaya.

Fans have said they are ‘running’ to Amazon to get this product.

These gadgets will work best if the fruit is ripe.

The green lines on a watermelon are a great indicator as to whether the watermelon is ripe or not, they should be at least two fingers width apart if it’s ripe.

People have different theories about how to know if the watermelon will be sweet or not.

Some believe if the root point on the bottom of the watermelon is small that means the fruit is super sweet, other believe the watermelon is sweet if the entire fruit is large and round, if there’s an orange discoloration, or if it has webbing.

Top three fruit cutting hacks

*  To cut a watermelon into perfectly even slices without wasting an inch use a piece of dental floss, first run it along the base of watermelon that’s still attached to the rind, then trace the inside of the rind with the floss, the fruit can be sliced with ease into even triangles

* To juice a lemon without drying it out, roll it onto the bench to loosen the flesh inside and then poke a hole into the top of it. The hole inside the fruit will allow juice to instantly flow out of it when needed without it going dry over time

* To chop a kiwi with ease, use a whisk head from an electric mixer, push the whisk into the fruit, then gently twists it to remove the flesh from the skin and reveal perfect bite-sized pieces
