2023 NBA All-Star Game MVP prediction and pick
The key in the All-Star Game for the MVP award is opportunity.
For example, Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James are both coming into this game banged up, so I’m staying away from them as their minutes could be limited.
Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid also mentioned that he may not play in the game due to his foot injury.
So, that gives us three players to stay away from on Sunday night.
Luka Doncic is another player I’m avoiding, as he hasn’t shown a ton of aggression in the All-Star Game in his career, scoring eight points exactly in all three of his appearances.
I like Damian Lillard and Ja Morant among the favorites, as both players should have the ball in their hands a bunch, and Dame can get hot from just about anywhere on the floor.
The dark horse that I love is another streaky scorer, Anthony Edwards, who is in his first All-Star Game appearance and may be looking to make a statement.
The odds for all the MVP candidates are enticing, but it’s a tough prop to nail down regardless. Best of luck!
