The fact some companies source designer fashion items for customers, and most of the business is conducted via social media, says a lot about how people prefer to shop nowadays. Now that people can immediately post what they’re wearing on Instagram and TikTok for all the world to see, the It items everyone wants are far more popular. After all, the more we see something (and the harder it is to find), the more we want it. It’s from this series of events that an It item is born.
The problem is that finding these It items can feel impossible when they’re at their peak. But you can occasionally get lucky (or obsessively spend all your free time scouring the internet). As a fashion editor, it’s my job to know where to get everything that’s cool, but finding It items in stock just so happens to be one of my special skills.
