CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — One person has been killed and four others wounded in a shooting at a Charleston sports bar, authorities said early Monday.
The person died early Monday after the gunfire at the Players Place Billiards and Sports Bar in the West Ashley area, Charleston police said.
Police say they received multiple emergency calls shortly after 2 a.m. Monday, WCSC-TV reported. Officers took a “person of interest” into custody, Charleston police Lt. Heath King said.
The four wounded people were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Sgt. Elisabeth Wolfsen said.
