Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro may debut in several new color options, according to a recent leak from the Weibo user known as Instant Digital. The leaker claims that Apple is preparing at least three distinctive finishes for next year’s flagship lineup: Coffee, Purple, and Burgundy. These shades are said to bring richer, warmer tones to the device’s aesthetic, expanding beyond the traditional metallic and neutral palette of previous Pro models.
If accurate, this would mark the first time Apple introduces Coffee and Burgundy finishes to its iPhone range. The Coffee variant is described as a deep brown shade, offering an earthy and refined look that could serve as a spiritual successor to earlier colors like the Gold iPhone XS or the Desert Titanium option on the iPhone 16 Pro. Burgundy, on the other hand, belongs to the red family and combines dark crimson hues with subtle undertones of brown or purple, creating a rich, wine-like appearance. Purple, which has appeared in various iPhone generations such as the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone 14 Pro, could return in a warmer, more subdued variation.
The leaker also noted that Apple does not plan to offer a black color option for the iPhone 18 Pro, continuing a trend introduced with the iPhone 17 Pro lineup. The iPhone 17 Pro was available in Silver, Deep Blue, and Cosmic Orange, marking the first time an iPhone Pro did not include a black or gray finish. This shift suggests that Apple may be exploring a broader range of tones to differentiate its premium models and emphasize a more luxurious visual identity.
In terms of hardware, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to launch in the fall of next year and introduce several technological advancements. Among the most anticipated upgrades is the A20 chip, built using TSMC’s 2-nanometer process, which should deliver significant improvements in power efficiency and performance. Other rumored features include a variable aperture main camera for enhanced photography control, a C2 modem for faster and more reliable connectivity, and a simplified Camera Control system to streamline user experience.
Although Apple has not confirmed any of these details, leaks about color variations often surface months ahead of official announcements. If these predictions hold true, the iPhone 18 Pro lineup could represent one of the most visually diverse and technically advanced generations in Apple’s history.
