Michelle Saniei confirmed she’s seeing music legend Dr. Dre and shared a little insight on their relationship.
“We’re spending time together,” The Valley star, 37, said of her connection to the music mogul, 61, in an interview with People on Tuesday, June 16. “And we love being in each other’s company.”
Saniei added that she and Dre (real name Andre Romell Young) connected via a mutual friend. However, the couple are keeping things low-key.
“For now, we’re just keeping everything super private,” she explained. “I’m just living my life.”
Earlier this year, Dre and Saniei were spotted holding hands during an April outing in Los Angeles. The pair wore matching black ensembles, with Dre rocking a dark tracksuit while Saniei opted for a turtleneck mini sweater dress, long leather coat and gold necklace.
After Dre and Saniei’s outing made headlines, the real estate agent’s ex-husband, Jesse Lally, reacted to the pair’s rumored romance. (The exes were married from 2018 to 2025 and share daughter Isabella, 6.)
“Michelle’s divorced and she’s single, and whatever makes her happy is cool,” Lally, 45, told TMZ in April. “I did not get a heads-up. I saw it on social media the same way as everybody else.”
Lally added that Saniei and Dre were an unexpected pairing.
“The Dr. Dre thing — didn’t see that one coming!” he said, adding that he never witnessed his ex listening to rap music. “So dating Dr. Dre, good for her.”
Lally was not the only The Valley star to react to Saniei’s new romance. Costar Janet Caperna thought the photos were manufactured at first glance.
“The first photo I saw was, like, kind of blurry and grainy,” Caperna, 40, exclusively told Us Weekly that same month. “And I was like, ‘Is that Michelle?’ I’m, like, zooming in. And I was like, ‘Or is it AI?’”
After confirming it was her costar, Caperna reached out to try to get the inside scoop.
“Once I saw it was her, I was like, ‘All right, well, I have not talked to Michelle today, but I’m going to be calling her,’” she continued, noting she saw the pictures while traveling. “So I have not connected with her and gotten the tea yet, but I’m excited to know.”
Caperna also shared that people were coming to her to see if she knew anything about Dre and Saniei.
“One of the things I love about L.A. is, like, all of a sudden I’m getting texts from my mom, my old boss, like, ‘Is Michelle dating Dr. Dre?’ And I’m like, ‘What? What is this?’” she recalled. “I’m like, ‘I gotta call Michelle.’ And I gotta ask [her] myself.”
