The Tony Awards will return to Radio City Music Hall this June.
The 79th Annual Tony Awards are scheduled to take place June 7 and air on CBS Television Network as well as stream live for Paramount+ Premium subscribers. Essential tier subscribers of Paramount will have access to the ceremony the day after it airs.
The Tony Awards eligibility cut-off date for the 2025-2026 season is April 26, 2026. Nominations for the 2026 Tony Awards will be announced on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Thirteen shows are currently scheduled to open in April, ahead of nominations, with the new musical The Lost Boys opening on April 26.
The Tony Awards struck a deal with CBS in 2017 to broadcast the show through 2026. In the past several years, the ceremony has been split into two parts, with the first airing largely creative team awards and appearing only on the streaming service.
The Tony Awards are produced in collaboration with Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League.
No Tony Awards host has yet been announced. Cynthia Erivo hosted last year’s ceremony, with Ariana DeBose hosting the three years prior.
The ceremony has traditionally been held at Radio City Music Hall, but had moved around to the Lincoln Center, Beacon Theatre and United Palace Theatre in recent years. The 74th Tony Awards, which honored productions from the 2019-2020 season, was delayed and held at the Winter Garden Theatre on September 26, 2021 at the Winter Garden Theatre.
